The full-case design for the Middle Eastern perfume gift box was officially delivered in February 2024. With precise insights into Middle Eastern culture and exceptional supply chain integration capabilities, it shone brilliantly at the subsequent Middle Eastern perfume exhibition. During the exhibition, the gift box design directly helped a glass manufacturer in Hangzhou secure orders totaling 20 million RMB in the Middle Eastern market, successfully achieving a value leap from "Made in China" to "Designed in China." This project fully validated the core driving value of design in cross-border B2B trade — good design is not merely visual expression, but a golden key to opening international markets.

The client is a glass manufacturer in Hangzhou, long dedicated to the production and manufacturing of glass products, but lacking experience in branding and product design. In order to secure orders in the Middle Eastern market and expand overseas business, the manufacturer approached us to design a gift box in preparation for a Middle Eastern perfume exhibition. The Middle Eastern perfume market is enormous and continuously growing, and Middle Eastern clients have extremely segmented demands for perfume. Over the past two decades, Chinese enterprises' perfume business in the Middle East has undergone multiple iterations and upgrades, providing tremendous market opportunities for Chinese companies with design capabilities and supply chain advantages.

The core objective of this project was to create a perfume gift box design for a Hangzhou glass manufacturer that could precisely win over Middle Eastern clients and help it successfully secure orders at the exhibition.

Cultural Insight and Visual Expression: We conducted in-depth research into the cultural preferences and aesthetic habits of the Middle Eastern market, incorporating a wealth of Middle Eastern elements into the gift box design — multi-colored color blocks and decorative patterns — which both echo the intricate and exquisite decorative language of traditional Middle Eastern art and avoid cultural taboos. Middle Eastern clients' expectation of luxury is "visible" — the gift box must demonstrate obvious texture and craftsmanship investment. Using this as the benchmark, we ensured that every detail conveys sufficient sense of value.

Supply Chain Integration and Structural Innovation: At the packaging material level, the team fully leveraged the cost and efficiency advantages of China's supply chain, offering various box types and opening methods, making the gift box diverse in form and interactivity. From outer box materials, inner lining craftsmanship to opening and closing structures, every step was meticulously designed to ensure the gift box impresses Middle Eastern buyers at the exhibition with the triple advantages of high aesthetics, high quality, and high cost-effectiveness. Through this design system combining cultural adaptability, supply chain integration, and visual impact, the Middle Eastern perfume gift box successfully upgraded from an ordinary packaging product to a commercial weapon that helps Chinese factories leverage tens-of-millions-level overseas orders.
